Advance System Outage
As reported in the news, some NHS services have been interrupted following an cyber incident on systems managed by Advanced, a third-party clinical systems provider. The attack was not targeted against the NHS or Your Healthcare, rather the third party software provider.
As a provider of NHS services, Your Healthcare CIC has also been inadvertently affected as we use the Carenotes system, one of the five systems affected. One of the main impacts to service delivery is our ability to access full care records, however, we are working to our business continuity plans in order to deliver services safely.  No other parts of our IT infrastructure or systems are affected.
Advanced has isolated all their services and taken them offline to mitigate the risk of any further impact.
Advanced has advised that this incident was a result of a ransomware attack and that there has been no immediate cyber security threat to our systems identified as a result of this attack. There is currently no evidence to suggest that patient data has been compromised in relation to the incident impacting Advanced software.
We currently have no timeline for the full recovery of the Carenotes system, so we will continue working to our business continuity plans till further notice.
