Your Healthcare’s expertise shared across South West London

District nurse team leader Kyley Parfitt was delighted when the South West London Integrated Care Board (ICB) asked her to share her thoughts on urgent care and community services with colleagues across the boroughs of Kingston, Richmond, Sutton, Croydon, Merton and Wandsworth.

Kyley described what her role in community healthcare involves, from working as a nurse with scheduled visits to working with teams such as rapid response. Her views appear on the SW London ICB website and reflect the significant role played by community healthcare teams in preventing unnecessary hospital admissions.

“Think of us as a ward with no walls,” says Kyley, “because, to be honest, there’s nothing that comes in that we don’t adapt to”.
