Your Healthcare survey shows happy and confident workforce
The 2025 Your Healthcare (YH) staff member survey reflects a happy workforce that is confident about the high-quality health and social care provided to the local community.
An impressive response rate of 82% represented a significant increase on last year (65%). Gary Cattermole, director at The Survey Initiative, who deliver the survey for YH, commented that high response rates are achieved when people believe something will happen as a result of a staff survey, and described the 82% rate as “absolutely fantastic”.
Other highlights include high scores for questions on being proud of the services YH delivers (97%) andbeing happy with the standard of care YH delivers (97%). The organisation was described as ‘a great place to work’ by 95% of respondents. Once again this year, when asked to name the best thing about working at YH, ‘colleagues at Your Healthcare’ and the ‘supportive culture’ received most mentions. An impressive 98% of those responding agreed that they have good working relationships with colleagues.
A score of 84% was achieved for the question ‘YH listened to members’ feedback from the last survey,’ which is 29% above the UK benchmark score. The overall engagement score of 89% (8% points above the benchmark) remains high, despite engagement being at a three-year low after steadily declining across all industries and sectors since 2023.
Commenting, Ed Montgomery, YH managing director, said: “I was keen to see how a 15% point increase in the number of staff members taking part in the survey would affect the results, and delighted to see that our scores across priority categories such as patient care and member satisfaction remained high. As a Community Interest Company, the opinions and views of staff members play an important role in shaping our future direction and these results reflect a motivated and happy workforce, confident in the care that Your Healthcare provides for its community.”
The survey identified a small number of areas where there is a need for additional focus. Results from the survey are shared with teams across the organisation who develop ‘workbooks’ to learn from areas where the highest scores have been achieved, and to address any areas where they feel improvement is needed.
