Parent/Carer Advice Clinics

Parent advice clinics are for parents of primary school aged children. They run weekly during term-time on different days of the week and can be accessed online, by telephone or in person.

What sort of support/advice is available at a parent advice clinic?

Common concerns are bedwetting, constipation, diet and healthy lifestyles, behaviour, dental health, emotions and sleep and anything else that is worrying you about your child’s health.

At the appointment we will ask questions to help us to understand your child’s needs and advise you on next steps. This may include giving you information about, or a referral to, other services, suggesting you see your GP, giving you details about helpful resources or arranging a more detailed assessment of your child’s health needs.

Should I bring my child? No, the parent advice clinic is for parents only.

How do I book an appointment? Please click on the booking form link: Parent Advice Clinic Appointment Request Form . Alternatively, you can contact the School Health service to discuss an appointment.

Can I get support with speech and language concerns?

The children’s speech and language therapy advice line is available on Wednesdays 10-12 and Thursdays 2-4pm. The contact number is 020 8339 8106 and a voicemail is available for call back.  Find out more here Children’s Speech & Language Therapy Healthcare Services | Kingston and Richmond | Your Healthcare
