Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Our commitment to you

Your Healthcare is fully committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion for all its employees, patients, service users, clients, visitors, family members, carers and employees.  We promote kindness and respect and any forms of abuse, violence or discrimination are not tolerated in any aspect of our work. We are also committed to having a fair, open and transparent culture.

We are committed to making sure everyone can access our services, and we can make changes to make this possible. People who may need additional support include:

  • people with a physical disability, sensory disability or learning disability
  • people with a long-term condition such as dementia
  • people who are neurodivergent such as autistic service-users

Reasonable adjustments can be things like:

•          providing plain English or easy read appointment letters and leaflets

•          having a quiet space available for people waiting for their appointment

•          offering a longer appointment if someone needs more time with a healthcare professional

•          Having a family member or friend present during appointments to help with communication and understanding

If you or someone you care for may have difficulty accessing our health and care services, please let us know.

Promoting and supporting diversity in the workplace contributes towards employee wellbeing and engagement. A diverse workforce can drive an organisation’s effectiveness by increasing everyone’s ability to reach their full potential, providing opportunities for improved innovation and decision-making, as well as meeting the needs of a diverse population.
