Patient Safety

Keeping our service users safe is a fundamental part of who we are at Your Healthcare. It is a vital element of our culture, a starting point for service development and delivery, and something that is reviewed at all levels of the organisation with the meaningful involvement of our members, service users and our Board. We continuously strive to learn and improve.

We know that a culture where staff are valued, well supported and engaged, leads to safe, high-quality care. As a membership organisation and community interest company, our staff members are involved in decision making and influence the organisation’s strategy. Our staff survey results reflect this approach with an engagement score of 90% and high scores for being proud of the services we deliver – 98%.

Patient Safety Incident Reporting Framework (PSIRF)

In 2024 the NHS changed the way it manages patient safety, and now looks at how systems should be considered, rather than individuals, when things go wrong. The PSIRF supports the development and maintenance of an effective patient safety incident response system and the development of a positive patient safety culture.
