Podiatry (Foot Care)

Assessment, diagnosis and treatment

Our podiatry team provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disease and conditions affecting the foot and lower limb. Our treatments are focused on relieving symptoms, improving function, disease prevention, and maintaining independence and well-being.

Your Healthcare provides a range of podiatry (foot-related) services to people who are registered with a Kingston GP. Our podiatry services help you look after your feet by providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disease and conditions affecting the foot and lower limb.

 

 

Our services

We provide a range of foot health related services to adults and children including:

  • Screening and treatment of at-risk patients
  • Chronic and acute ulcer management
  • Orthotic and insole prescription and manufacture for feet
  • Nail surgery • Removal of corns, and other soft tissue lesions
  • Health promotion, education and advice
  • Maintenance care for chronic and irreversible foot problems

Referral process

Our podiatry service requires standard patient and referrer information, including NHS number, ethnicity, contact and address details.

We also require information about the reason for the referral, past medical history, and whether the referral is urgent, non-urgent, or routine.

Referral are accepted from a GP or healthcare professional registered in Kingston.

We are an independent community interest company (CIC), but are funded by the NHS and local authorities to provide health and social care community services for residents in Kingston, and additional learning disability services in Richmond. If we make any profit, it is reinvested into our community services

You can also call for emergency referrals to our Rapid Response service (2-hour urgent community response) or Urgent Care Support Service (care homes).

It is possible to self refer to some of our services (e.g. rapid response, children’s speech and language). If you click on the ‘Our services’ tab and choose the service you need, details of how to refer are available. You can also call our single point of access team on 020 8274 7088 for referrals to our Rapid Response service (2-hour urgent community response).

Only urgent services can be referred via telephone – Rapid Response and Urgent Care and Support Service (care homes).
